I love you as a mother loves her child

Like bees loving flowers 

Or moths loving light 

 

I love you as my father did when he hit me

Or as my dog did when he sees me cry

 

I love you without knowing why I love you

I love you without knowing how I love you

 

I suppose I love you the way moon loves the night

To love so short but forever again 

 

I love you the way I always love you

To love you without asking for you

 

I love you silently but loudly 

I love you slowly but longingly

 

No other way can I love you

But the only way I know to love you
